- 2007 - Ryan Giggs was awarded an OBE for his services to football.

- 1965 - United lost 2-1 to Hungarian side Ferencvaros in the Fairs cup semi final play off, it was the first time in United's history that they lost in successive European games to the same opponent.
- 2007 - Red legends Gary Neville and Michael Carrick both got married on the same day...thankfully not to the same woman.

- 1964 - Graeme Hogg (1984-88) was born in Aberdeen, Scotland.
- 2003 - United agreed to sell David Beckham to Real Madrid for £25 million, four years later to the very day Beckham won his first medal for Real when they sealed the Spanish first division title. It was Beckham's seventh league title winners medal having previously won six with United.

- 1994 - Roy Keane helped the Republic of Ireland to a historic 1-0 win over Italy in New York at the 1994 World Cup finals.

- 1946 - Jimmy Greenhoff (1976-81) was born in Barnsley.
- 1993 - After winning their first title in 26 years, United released the song United(we love you). It reached number 37 before dropping out the top forty after just two weeks.
Saturday June 20th -
- 1994 - Mike Phelan left Old Trafford on a free transfer to join WBA after making 146 appearances for United, Phelan would later return as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson.
- 2003 - David Beckham released a statement bidding farewell and good luck to Manchester United and the fans as he became a Real Madrid player.
Sunday June 21st -
- 1949 - James Pearson (1974-79) was born in Hull.
- 1995 - Paul Ince left United in a £7 million deal to Italy's Inter Milan, at the time it was a record fee received by United for one of their players. Ince would later return to England and play for bitter rivals Liverpool, a move that would forever taint him from being considered a true Old Trafford legend.
